Incredible interview. A must see for all students and lovers of the art.
Should be , my top four most unique bands of all time
For they have their reward – The Book of Mormon
What a great open and insightful interview. I’m 43 and rediscovering music from this era and I have to say this group was just a grounded wire to the human experience. Beautiful and timeless riffs and TONS of talent.
“And if you are lucky, you find yourself”
-Jerry Cantrell
The laugh at 30:00❤
I have been truly head over heels in love with AIC for most of my life and I love the the way that they have made all of their music forever and I am a huge fan and always will be an avid listener and supporter of Jerry and whoever he decides to play with and I will never be disappointed by any of his music from the past or the present and the future yet to come.❤
I would have liked it more if he took off his glasses, Alice in chains were never the same band again and never be
This man is a National Treasure! What an incredible musician. One of my all time favorites
I could listen to Jerry all day . Awesome😊
Not sure the sunglasses are necessary.
They say a Zane Lowe interview is the most coveted in the industry. But honestly, this is how an interview should be. The interviewer not making it about themselves . I’m sorry but I hate Fender for making their new ads all about sucking off Tom Morello and his ego
how some beings are destined to be great
That clip of Layne's voice 36:24 onwards 😤
I love him. Good , talented guy❤. He’s really funny too.
Jerry is really a good storyteller.
I graduated In 94 and never was into the grunge scene, was a total Led Head. It took me til the early 2000s to start to appreciate those bands. Now I think most it’s incredible and AIC is my favorite of that era.
Man this was good, especially with no talking head interrupting him. Great job Gibson!
Love the part how they were trying out other singers haha
you were oats to his Hall…………………………..you were garfunkle to his Simon………….you were aabott to his Costello…..you were robin to his Batman
24:18 Jerry is using a "TOO HOT BRAZIL" t-shirt. So nice.
And by the way, cheers from Brazil for you guys watching this in 2024.
“He was in this other band with a guy named Ron”, that was my good friend Ron “Junkeye” Holt. He was a true legend. He passed away June 29 from esophageal cancer. He was the one who wrote the song It’s Coming After performed by his band Second Coming with Layne Stayley on vocals. RIP brother
this was a beauty to watch. when he recalls his HS days, it´s a reminder on hot important this is and how big of an impact this period has in shaping someone´s life.
Jerry is the coolest 🤘
His story sounds exactly like mine! Minus the fame.. LOL
It's interesting to hear how well rounded in music he was well before AIC
Awesome to hear Jerry was buddies with Dime in their early years!
Simply espectacular! My F* hero!
Saw Jerry play keagers in Spanaway before he made it he's a very cool dude and was good back then too
Amazing ❤
Bring john sykes
What a legend!
I always come back and watch this from time to time. I love hearing Jerry’s story and his early influences and his absolute love for music of all genres. Here I am back, watching this again after Rick Beato just put up his amazing interview with Jerry.
Where do i find the intro music to this video?
Legend! ❤
Legend… AIC…best band ever…
This interview made me happy. Jerry seems cool as a clam.
What an amazing person! So incredibly talented and yet very humble. Keep the music coming Jerry. You are definitely one of the greats!
This is the greatest type of interview. It would definitely be cool to hang out with Jerry
He and Layne have made some of the most beautifully emotional music ever heard by ears
12:09 Daron from System of a Down wanted to be a drummer first too.
I always remember him young.
My God Almighty. Does anyone notice the collection of vinyl records behind Jerry? Wow!
you are a crack man thx for the music
One of the greatest bands of all damn time . Seriously.
