K. I hate to do this but I've seen Johnny, Willie, Waylon, Chris, Ray Charles and Merle Haggard. And I've got to say that Merle Haggard is not in their class. Mr. Haggard was elitist and difficult
He did not appreciate his fans at all. When he was here and Athens his performance was sad. He was (as we say here in the South) drunk as Cooter Brown. I volunteered here in the venue and he was hateful to even us who were simply giving our time to facilitate a smooth performance. He does not deserve to be in the class of the world's BEST country performers
