2 Samuel 15,7 And after forty years?
Everything said about Absalom applies to Trump.
You are a great teacher
Absolem murdered his brother because he raped his sister!! Why are we overlooking this? He's not the bad guy….David is not an enabler. Absloem did what David failed to do. This seems axiomic to me….
I struggle with some of these chapters. It seems like everyone failed Tamar, no one pleads her cause or considers her future. Shouldn't Absalom be hailed for avenging his sister's honor? At times God has used evil men in exacting justice or right a wrong.
This man is brilliant. He has illustrated great points n understands human nature. He has peeled back through Absalom's facade n injects humor. That being said, Absalom's sister,Tamar, was raped yet nothing was done about it. Should this grave transgression have been left alone? Absalom was not a good man at all but since David failed his daughter by exacting justice Absalom took action After this things spiraled out of control. One wrong led to another 😢
Very good teaching. 😅
Kidron, the mount of olives, the accuser, David putting himself into God's hands and letting God take vengeance and receiving discipline? It's like David is a picture. Satan is not God's son but he tried to steal God's place and took 1/3 of the angels with him and he's apparently good looking. It's like God is letting David share a little bit of His own suffering through experience, and suffering is like common meeting ground between a Holy God and sinful man. It's something we both understand even though God is sinless, He still has been grieved and suffered and Jesus suffered
So glad I watched this
I wonder if David carried the guilt of what God told him as it relates to his sin with Bethshiba and didnt want to punish his childern because he had brought this upon himself and family. I think he was a good parent IMO because he looked passed what they did and left it in the hands of God by not taking action. Sometimes silence is true wisdom's best reply.
Oh my Lord. This is so good. How often we drop words about someone – words that do harm. Forgive us , Lord.
We so often sucvumb to xternals and outward profiling. Following without discernment. Open our spiritual eyes , Oh God. Help us to see within.
💕🙏💕
Thank u pastor. This passage made me fall asleep and totally confuse. I felt like I was reading Hebrew… thank u for your wonderful teaching
My Bible says 40 years in 15: 7 and he said 4 years I'm confused.
Thank you now I understand the message 🙏❤️
Dunno if anyone will ever see this but did Absalom murder his brother? Wasn't he suppose to die for what he did to Tamar anyways so isnt what he did justice that David refused to do? Wheres the line of justice for her vs murder drawn here?
❤🙏❤🙏❤
Thank you Pastor Paul!!!!!
I look forward to your teachings daily. You explain every chapter so well. You always leave me looking forward to learning more about gods word.
I have to say I understand him defending his sister's honour . So much of the bible I find myself battling with because I have a lot to learn ,I Myself am a work in progress. I see the both sins on the same level maybe because I'm a woman and can't imagine being raped by my brother .
"When emotion is high, intelligence is low." David taught us to always consult God instead of consulting ourselves first.
