Thanks for this. So glad that you brought up the matter of Eli's response. I heard another preacher saying that this was a humble response before God, but I questioned that. I just couldn't believe how little Eli had to say about his own fate, in response to not one but two prophetic words against him. Your comparison with Ahab is so true and does give us reason to believe God might have heard Eli.

Thank you, for these profound series on the book of Samuel. A few months after my son was born, I fell asleep with my Bible, while listening to the Bible. At that time I was too insecure to read next to my baby, thought he might wake up and I didn't want my ex, (the father) to see, I am reading the Bible. Anyhow, that night I received a dream, where God – must have been Him – said Samuel 3 or Samuel 4… Or both. I am so embarrassed to not remember which it exactly was. My first thought is always 3. Few days before he said Matthew 7. This is 3 years ago.
Why am I writing this?… Because listening to the Bible Studies feels like getting an answer. I am a single mom, new in faith and trying to build up a fundament in God for my son… To be precise, God is doing it because, I need so much fixing. He corrects, directs and comforts me through my failures. Lord Jesus, you are my hero. Thank you Holy Spirit for leading me to these videos. Pastor, thank you!!! Blessings from Germany… When you said that people considering to leave their country to hearing God… Escapng the famine… That's me! Desperately longing for a church that is not scared of the biblical truth…

Cracking up on the Noah part because it's so true!! The Bible describes the animals brought on board but children's materials definitely water down and weaken the overall message all the time! I work with youth so I'm definitely taking this part to heart when I minister to them going forward.
I came searching for something specific to 1 Samuel 3. I have been telling God I want to learn to hear His voice clearer. Not secondhand but first hand. When I was younger, I was sleeping and I heard my name being called and I got up 3 times and was so confused bc I was alone. I recently have this unsettled feeling or uncertain? I fall into the group of feeling kind of scared and uncertain about next steps. Ironically, I just graduated with my MBA but now I’m like??? 😅Number one, I know to go to the Bible first to hear Him though. Last night, I heard clear as day, 1 Samuel 3 in my spirit. I am trying to learn where God is leading. I just want to be open and obedient ❤
